General purpose

Design and implement a territorial support program for small and medium producers, in the biointensive pest management, for a production of vegetables free of pesticide residues in the Valparaíso Region.

Specific objectives

  • Determine the population dynamics of the main pests present in lettuce, tomato and cabbage
  • Evaluate the effects on the quantity of pesticide residues and the benefits of implementing the producer support program.
  • Design and implement a biointensive management program by improving the quality of the applications and incorporating techniques to reduce the development of pests in lettuce, tomato and cabbage vegetables.
  • Develop technical-informative material and carry out dissemination activities aimed at vegetable producers in the territory of the Quillota and Marga-Marga provinces.
